He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved (Psalm 62:6).

RA’s meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 on the second floor of Educational Building 2.

Girls in Action

Girls in Action (GA’s) is a comprehensive missions education program, for girls in grades 1-6, which includes praying for missions, engaging in missions action and witness, learning about missions, developing spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, participating in the work of the church and denomination, and supporting missions. GA’s meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 on the bottom floor of Educational Building 3.

Sunday School

We have a completely age-graded and gender separated Sunday school for our children so that the children can grow in knowledge and application of God’s Word. Classes begin at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.

Children’s Church

The Children’s Church hour here at Tom’s Creek Baptist Church is an exciting worship experience for children. We use puppets, music, and Bible studies to plant the Word of God in the hearts of children and lead them to Christ. We meet during the morning worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning. We have two different ministry age groups for Children’s Church. Each one is set up with a structure that is conducive to fun, learning, and worship.

Toddle Time

This is our two to four year old class. In this class we use, Betty Lukens Through the Bible in Felt to make the Bible stories come to life for the children. Toddle Time meets in room 315.

Nursery Ministry

Our nursery ministry is a learning experience, not merely babysitting. Children come in during all our services and enjoy a nursery with amenities such as an infant room with baby beds, hand washing station, separate bathroom with a child’s toilet, a kitchenette, TV (which streams our live worship service for volunteers), learning\play areas, and cubbies for each child’s personal belongings. Safety is a concern for all parents leaving their children with people other than their family, so we take precautions to protect the children. We require all children’s workers to take a criminal background check. We also require parental sign-in and sign-out. Parents will sign-in children at the sign-in desk and take a pager with them. With the pager, we can communicate with you throughout the services in case of emergency. To sign-out your child, we receive the pager back and release the child to a parentally approved adult. We do provide a snacks, and we keep track of allergies with special allergy alert signs. Please let us know about any special needs your child has we will gladly accommodate all children.
During Sunday school the children in the nursery are learning a Bible lesson just like the big kids. We have puzzles, Bible lesson, and a snack time. We keep the little ones on the same structured routine as the big kids to prepare them for the next level.

Bible Drills (Discipleship Training)

Bible Drill classes meet during our Discipleship Training Hour at 6 p.m. on Sunday evenings. We have three separate levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced), in which the children learn everything from books of the Bible to key passages and specific scripture memory verses. Once the students enter the third grade they may compete on a local, associational, and a state level. We give incentives to the children to compete and expand their Bible knowledge. Bible Drills classes meet upstairs in Educational Building 3.
